Alleged Galaxy S9 CAD drawings depict dual camera, new finger scanner placement

We did hear that the “back of the Galaxy S9 will change a lot” from a leakster with a good track record last week, and, lo and behold, today’s alleged CAD renders of the handset are seemingly confirming this claim. Not that it comes as any surprise that the Galaxy S9 may follow in the footsteps of the Note 8, and be launched with a dual camera, but it was the sensor placement that was a mystery, and we even made a few renders with horizontal or vertical dual camera design, based on various rumors.

If these computer-assisted design schematics …

Alleged CAD renders of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite surface with a 16:9 screen and dual cameras

Huawei’s Mate 10 — or to be more specific, three different devices all bearing the name — is coming in just a month. So it’s not that surprising that we’re seeing an increasing amount of leaks about the series, though we still have very little info on the regular Mate 10, rather than its Pro and Lite siblings.

But today we seem to have another possible look at one of the three devices — the Mate 10 Lite — this time in (potato quality) CAD render format. Design-wise, it looks pretty consistent with the design we saw in OnLeaks’ schematics-based …

New Samsung Galaxy Note 8 CAD leak matches previously posted designs

Skins manufacturer Slickwraps would figure to be the kind of accessory manufacturer that would get an early heads up on the design of an upcoming handset. The company’s CEO, Jonathan Endicott, sent out a tweet this morning showing off a CAD designed image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The image appears to match a previous sketch of the phablet that was apparently made from a similar CAD leak.

There is also some similarity to a very ugly design tweeted by tipster OnLeaks during the last few days of June. Considering that Slickwraps is apparently betting its money on the image seen on its …

More CAD images of the Apple iPhone 8 surface

With the end of May just days away, it could be just three months before the Apple iPhone 8 is introduced. Of course, the tenth-anniversary premium model could go by another name when Apple shows it off to the public. Other monikers bandied about include the Apple iPhone Edition, and the Apple iPhone X. The latter name would have the benefit of having a dual meaning. “X” could denote something different and premium, while also representing the number 10 in Roman numerals.

During the weekend, some more CAD (computer aided design) images of the Apple iPhone 8 were disseminated from the Twitter …

Latest CAD image of Apple iPhone 8 is right here

Amid rumors that the 10th anniversary edition of the Apple iPhone (which we will call the iPhone 8 for now) could be unveiled at WWDC next month, the latest CAD (Computer Aided Design) image of the handset has been tweeted by tipster OnLeaks. Right off the bat, the source admits that the image might be a fake, but we guess that goes with the territory. The image shows the vertically placed dual-camera setup in back, just like we’ve become accustomed to.

Other interesting things that we can take away from staring at the design, include the lack of a Touch ID button on the front or the back …

Check out pictures and video of the Moto G4 Plus CAD renders

Over the last few days, we’ve given you some information about the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus. This includes images of the two phones, leaked specs, and FCC documentation revealing that the E4 Plus will sport a 5000mAh battery. To all that, you can add today’s leak of CAD renders animated by tipster OnLeaks into a video. The only specs about the Moto E4 Plus that we know, is that it is expected to be powered by a MediaTek chipset and that the phone carries that massive battery. With today’s story, we now know that it will feature an approximately 5-inch display with 2.5D glass.

The …
