Google Pixel 2 shows the largest bump in activations during the Christmas holiday weekend

Despite recent reports revealing multiple issues with the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL (mostly with the screen and speaker), the two handsets enjoyed a surprisingly strong Christmas weekend and showed more growth in activations than the Apple iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The percentage increase is computed by subtracting the number of activations from the Christmas holiday weekend compared to the average number from the prior three weekends. A phone is considered to be activated once it starts opening and using apps.

It's official: T-Mobile to bump monthly unlimited throttling limit to 50GB (from 32GB)

Although it’s started as a rumor based on a screenshot of a T-Mobile document, the increase of the monthly unlimited throttling limit has been recently confirmed by the carrier.

The said document suggests T-Mobile’s “Fair Usage threshold” will be increased to 50GB. The last bump operated by the Uncarrier dates from May when the deprioritization threshold was increased to 32GB.

T-Mobile confirmed via Twitter that it will implement the new change on September 20, so starting later this week, customers shouldn’t be throttled down if they exceed the old 32GB threshold.

Here’s one that surprised us. Apparently, a number of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T phones seem to suffer from a peculiar issue with the camera bump. According to a thread on Reddit, some camera bumps on the two phones are slightly tilted one way or the other.

What’s interesting is that the issue is not present with all units, nor is it equally prominent on all affected devices. The camera bumps on some units appear to have a more noticeable tilt, than on others. We don’t think this affects camera performance at all, so it’s probably just an aesthetic thing.
