True to its promise, the company delivered the update to the ZenFone 3 Deluxe last week, but the other two handsets remain on Android Nougat.

In an update post on Twitter, Asus confirmed the update for both smartphones has been delayed due to some issues that require more time to be fixed.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo, here are all the changes

Asus confirmed last week that three ZenFone 3 smartphones will receive Android 8.0 Oreo updates in March, but it didn’t mention any exact release dates. If you’re using an Asus ZenFone 3 Laser, ZenFone 3 Zoom or ZenFone 3 Deluxe, you should expect to get the Oreo update at some point this week.

In fact, Asus has just announced that the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the first of the three to receive the previously teased update. Keep in mind that the update arrives for the ZS550KL model, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe variant that sports a 5.5-inch display, not the ZS570KL model that includes a slightly larger …

Although no exact release date has been given, Asus Malaysia said the following smartphones will be updated by the end of March: ZenFone 3 Laser, ZenFone 3 Zoom, and ZenFone 3 Deluxe.

These are not the first ZenFone 3 models that will soon receive Android Oreo updates, as Asus has already rolled out Oreo for the regular ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Max. Also, the ZenFone 4 Pro got updates only a few weeks ago.

Since some ZenFone smartphones have different hardware configurations …

Asus ZenFone 4 Pro starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo update

More information about the unannounced Asus ZenFone 5 Max appears in benchmark

Asus has already announced three new smartphones last month at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018, but the ZenFone 5 Max, one of the devices leaked back in January, was not among them.

The ZenFone 5, 5z and 5 Lite are the new smartphones introduced by Asus this year, but more devices are likely to be added to the ZenFone family very soon. New information about the ZenFone5 Max suggests this is a mid-range handset rather than a top-tier one.

After making the rounds of Wi-Fi Alliance where it received its certification, the ZenFone 5 Max was recently spotted at Geekbench. Apparently, …

New flagship killers: Asus releases the ZenFone 5 family

Asus’ ZenFone handsets have been around for about 4 years now and, while they haven’t picked up a great deal of steam, they offer their own sets of interesting features on midrange and flagship phones. A lot of them center around the camera, with laser focus, and wide-angle lenses or 2x optical zoom having been in the company’s portfolio already in the past.

Today, Asus launches the next generation of ZenFone handsets — the ZenFone 5, ZenFone 5Q (ZenFone 5 Lite in select markets), and the flagship ZenFone 5Z. Let’s take a closer look at what they have in store for us!

Asus ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Q hands-on: hey there, good-looking!

Mobile World Congress is in full swing in Barcelona, and announcements have been pouring over the past few days. The latest unveiling comes from Asus: the company just introduced a trio of new ZenFone 5 handsets, including the Asus ZenFone 5Z flagship. However, the first two phones we had the chance to check out were the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Q – and at a glance, they don’t look bad at all. (In a last-minute update, Asus informed us that the ZenFone 5Q will be known as ZenFone 5 Lite outside of the US.)

Actually, calling the ZenFone 5 and 5Q “not bad” would be an understatement. …

Asus ZenFone 5z

The ZenFone 5Z proudly trots into flagship land with a Snapdragon 845, and three different tiers — 64 GB of storage + 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage + 6 GB of RAM, or 256 GB of storage + 8 GB of RAM. At the front ZenFone 5Z sports a 6.2-inch IPS screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The resolution we get is FHD+ (1080 x 2280) to make for some crisp imagery. In the camera department we have a dual setup on the back — a main 12 MP sensor with huge 1.4 μm pixels and a rather large lens aperture of F1.8 takes care for most scenarios. Then, there’s the secondary snapper with an 8 MP sensor and a 120-degree wide-angle lens for those larger-than-life shots. On the front, we’ve got an 8 MP selfie camera.
