Samsung CEO says Galaxy Note 8 will be announced in late August, first wave arriving in September

We know for less than a week that Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of IFA 2017 trade fair, which is set to kick off on September 1. Previous rumors coming from different sources claim the flagship smartphone will be announced on August 23, but the phone won’t be available on the market until September at the earliest.

Over the weekend, Samsung’s CEO DJ Koh told Taiwanese media that his company plans to reveal the Galaxy Note 8 in late August, which comes in line with previous reports.

He went on to say that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released …

Samsung just announced a flashy pink Galaxy S8+ variant, and you can't have it

Given the current overcrowded smartphone market, it’s a bit of a mystery why most manufacturers choose dull, lifeless colors for their flagship phones: surely chasing the best-in-line specs doesn’t imply not caring about looks, no? Still, a couple of the big names on the market have been making baby steps toward a more colorful future: HTC and Huawei are the first that come to mind, but it might be time to add Samsung to this list, as well.

This is, you see, because its latest flagship, the Galaxy S8, has had its fair share of unorthodox variants: apart …

Hey Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian also just announced two new members of her family

Look, we’re not saying there’s any wrong time to announce that you’ve brought two literal snowballs into the family, but right after news that Beyoncé’s twins were born is an interesting choice.

Especially if, like Kim Kardashian, you’re rumored to have some bad blood with Queen Bey. And yet, here’s Kim K (who has often expressed disinterest in pets because they’re filthy) posting pictures of puppies on Twitter when everyone’s freaking about about the Jay Z and Beyoncé’s twins.

So North wants to name her puppy Mercy, thoughts? We need a good name!

It is unknown whether or not a U.S. release of the YotaPhone 3 will be in the cards. Back in 2015, the YotaPhone 2 was listed …

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might be announced in late August, ahead of the iPhone 8

The moment Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the rumors for its next flagship started pouring in. Most of the reports claim that the Galaxy Note 8 will be coming with a dual-camera setup, and a rather big 6.3-inch edge-to-edge screen.

However, if the Note 8 does indeed feature 6.3-inch display, and it retains the 9:18.5 aspect ratio, introduced with Samsung’s current flagships, there will not be much that will differentiate it from the Galaxy S8+. Samsung might have to pack a lot of extra features to make the Note 8 relevant, especially considering that the device is rumored …
