“Gold-copper” Nokia 8 version allegedly leaked from production line

The Nokia 8 leak storm intensifies, which makes us believe that the handset will indeed be unveiled by the end of the month. The latest scoop allegedly comes straight from the production line, and if it’s true, it means that the Nokia flagship is already being manufactured.

The leaked photos are of a new “gold-copper” color, which has not made it to an officially sold smartphone just yet. But this is not the only difference between the device and the renders Evan Blass leaked a few days ago.

The handset doesn’t sport the Zeiss logo under its rear cameras, …

High-end Nokia 8 allegedly leaks out, dual Zeiss camera included

Over the week-end, we told you that an Android-based Nokia 8 could be released in the near future. Now, we have what seem to be the first legit renders showing the Nokia 8 in all its glory.

Revealed by Venture Beat, the renders allegedly present the front and back of the Nokia 8. Obviously, this is a handset that doesn’t stray too much from the design of HMD’s current line-up of smartphones (Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3).

The yet-to-be-announced Nokia 8 has pretty thin bezels on the right and left side of its screen, but the top and bottom bezels are certainly on the thick side. …

High-end Nokia 8 allegedly coming soon, could cost less than $600

After launching the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6, HMD Global is now (seemingly) getting ready to introduce at least one higher-end Android smartphone. Recently, we heard that a Nokia 8 and a Nokia 9 might be around the corner, and now we’re learning that only one of these models may be released in the near future: the Nokia 8.

According to German website WinFuture (usually a reliable source), the Nokia 8 has the model number TA-1004. Not long ago, it’s been assumed that the TA-1004 would be launched as the Nokia 9, but WinFuture has it that the phone’s final name should be Nokia 8. …

LG Q6 (LG G6 mini) allegedly leaks out

Tomorrow, July 11, LG will officially unveil a brand new smartphone – apparently called LG Q6.

The Q6 is expected to be a mini version of the LG G6 flagship, allegedly sporting a 5.4-inch Full Vision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 1920 pixels (as opposed to G6’s 5.7-inch Full Vision screen with 1440 x 2880 pixels).

According to leaked images that showed up today somewhere in China, the LG Q6 looks pretty much like a scaled-down G6, although its back is quite different. While said images seemingly show the Q6 in a protective cover, we can see that the phone has a single …

These iPhone 8 cases are allegedly in mass production, get size-compared to iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

So, the iPhone 8 rumors have been aplenty. We’ve seen schematic leaks, render leaks, various little tidbits that are purportedly the phone’s guts, as well as manufacturers talking about the new handsets’ features. Currently, the story still suggests that there will be 3 new models unveiled in 2017 – the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, which will retain a similar design to the 2016 devices, and the mysterious iPhone 8, with an all-screen front and vertical dual camera module on the back.
Of course, out of the three, it’s the iPhone 8 that garners the most attention, and …

Google's Pixel XL 2 allegedly shows up on GFXBench with Snapdragon 835, tall aspect ratio

Google’s next pair of flagships in the Pixel line aren’t expected to come out in a while, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get some information about it beforehand. In fact, a listing on graphics benchmark service GFXBench’s database seems to show the specs of the bigger of the two, the Pixel XL 2, in their full glory.

The first and most noticeable feature here is the unusual display size, listed as 2560 x 1312 pixels. Unless what we’re looking at is an error, this would mean the device will sport a display with a taller aspect ratio. And despite it being …

T-Mobile employee allegedly steals sex video from customer's phone

Here’s a story you’re not likely to hear T-Mobile CEO John Legere talk about, at least not on social media. According to WFTS-TV, a 25-year old T-Mobile employee in Pinellas Park, Florida named Roberto Sanchez-Ramos was arrested this past Friday. Ramos allegedly found a sex video on a customer’s phone and sent it to his own personal email account. The customer, who had given her phone to Ramos to reboot and reactivate, noticed that her email account was accessed and that the picture was sent to the rep’s email address.

Ramos was busted and charged with offenses against computer users …

3D touch components for the OLED iPhone 8 are allegedly 150% more expensive than for the LCD ones

By now, we have already accepted that there is a lot of truth to the rumors about a special anniversary iPhone 8 with an OLED display. It’s also rumored that the premium Apple smartphone will come with a premium price of approximately $1,000, due to the variety of features that are rumored to make an appearance in the new iPhone.

There is a serious difference between LCD and OLED displays, however, which apparently requires a different technique to be used for 3D Touch implementation. According to the Chinese media Economic Daily Times, with LCD panels the 3D Touch sensors are directly bonded …

Leaked photo samples allegedly were taken with the OnePlus 5

A series of four photographs have surfaced, allegedly coming from the rumored OnePlus 5 handset. Consider that the EXIF data shows that the photos were snapped using a device with the model number A5000, which would fall into line with previous OnePlus model numbers. For example, the OnePlus 3 is model number A3000. Additionally, the latitude and longitude in the EXIF data show that the photos were taken in Shenzen, China, which would make sense considering that OnePlus is based there.

If you look at the blurring in the second photo, it suggests that rumors about a dual camera setup on the …

Check out these sketches allegedly revealing the Nokia 8 and Nokia 9

Two sketches have surfaced today that allegedly reveal the upcoming Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 models. HMD, with the licensing rights to the Nokia name, plans to cover all price points with the release of as many as seven Android flavored phones. Thus far, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 have been unveiled. Just a word to the wise; the sketches that accompany this story could merely be concept drawings, or they could be the real thing. You might want to take the images with the appropriate grain of salt.

Both phones feature small bezels with what appears to be close to an edge-to-edge display. …
