Check out these new images of the Alcatel 1x, 3 and 3x

Back in November, we showed you six renders that revealed part of Alcatel’s 2018 smartphone lineup. Three of those models are back in a new series of images disseminated via tweet by the one and only Evan Blass (@evleaks). The three models are the Alcatel 1x, Alcatel 3 and the Alcatel 3x. At least one of these devices will be unveiled tomorrow, just a couple of days before the industry’s largest annual trade show, Mobile World Congress (MWC), opens its doors. The company has already announced that the Alcatel 1x, along with the Alcatel 3v and Alcatel 5 will be introduced on Saturday.

Cricket Wireless offers free Alcatel and LG smartphones to those who switch

Cricket Wireless is kicking off the new year with a promotional offer aimed at switchers. It’s not the first time the US carrier offers free smartphones to those who switch, but you can now choose between two budget-friendly handsets made by Alcatel and LG, respectively.

In fact, you can even have both the Alcatel Verso and LG Fortune if you decide to add two lines of unlimited data for $80 per month. We’ve already talked about the Alcatel Verso, a smartphone that Cricket started to sell for $30 not long ago, so let’s see what the LG Fortune has to offer.

Alcatel 3c

Alcatel 3c packs a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8321 processor, coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. An 8-megapixel rear-camera is present as well, along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front.

Alcatel 3C officially introduced with 6-inch HD+ display, Android Nougat

TCL confirmed earlier this month it will unveil new smartphones at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in late February. The Chinese company hinted to three new smartphone lineups: Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3 and Alcatel 1.

Three smartphones have been mentioned by TCL in the announcement, each belonging to one of the Alcatel series to be introduced next month: Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3V and Alcatel 1X.

Today, TCL launched yet another Android smartphone, the cheap Alcatel 3C, its first handset to feature an 18:9 display. The Alcatel 3C was introduced in Italy and is likely to go on sale in other European …

Cricket Wireless starts selling the entry-level Alcatel Verso for just $30

The new Alcatel Verso is one of the cheapest Android smartphones that you can now purchase in the United States. US carrier Cricket Wireless now offers the Verso for free with number transfer or $30 with new number (or current customer upgrade).

As you might have guessed, the Alcatel Verso is far from being impressive specs-wise. It’s true, the Verso runs Android 7.0 Nougat, which is quite decent even for a 2018 smartphone.

However, the handset sports a modest 5-inch display with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution and Dragontrail Glass. It’s got a 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 16GB …

Alcatel 3c leaked out in press renders ahead of MWC 2018 unveiling

TCL announced its 2018 smartphone lineup a few days ago at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), but it didn’t give any details on the devices. However, we do know at least three phones will be introduced next month at MWC (Mobile World Congress) trade fair: Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3v and Alcatel 1x.

One other smartphone that wasn’t mentioned by Alcatel, the 3c leaked out last month as one of the cheapest phones with an 18:9 display. Apparently, the Alcatel 3c will be available in Europe for just €120 outright, a decent price for what the phone has to offer.

Today, a couple …

Alcatel reveals its 2018 smartphone lineup, promises immersive 18:9 display experience

Alcatel can’t miss a major tech event like CES (Consumer Electronics Show), even if the smartphone brand is not quite ready to introduce new products. However, a little bit of self-promotion and sneak peeks at what’s to come doesn’t hurt.

So, until the big reveal drops at MWC (Mobile World Congress) next month, the company confirmed its 2018 smartphone lineup will be split in three series: Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3 and Alcatel 1.

Alcatel 5 series will include “affordable premium tier” smartphones, which will offer features like face unlock, 18:9 full view displays …
