High-end Nokia 8 allegedly leaks out, dual Zeiss camera included

Over the week-end, we told you that an Android-based Nokia 8 could be released in the near future. Now, we have what seem to be the first legit renders showing the Nokia 8 in all its glory.

Revealed by Venture Beat, the renders allegedly present the front and back of the Nokia 8. Obviously, this is a handset that doesn’t stray too much from the design of HMD’s current line-up of smartphones (Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3).

The yet-to-be-announced Nokia 8 has pretty thin bezels on the right and left side of its screen, but the top and bottom bezels are certainly on the thick side. …

These new iPhone 8 renders reiterate one unusually large power key

Armed with alleged CAD schematics of the upcoming iPhone 8, provided by a case maker, a digital artist set off to flesh them out in a render form to depict what the new iPhone may look like when it hits the shelves later this year.

While there aren’t many differences from similar concept images we’ve seen drawn so far – the AR-touting vertical dual camera and the all-screen front are still a go – what struck us as interesting is the size of the power/lock key on the right side. It could, apparently, grow up significantly when compared with the current …

Samsung CEO says Galaxy Note 8 will be announced in late August, first wave arriving in September

We know for less than a week that Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of IFA 2017 trade fair, which is set to kick off on September 1. Previous rumors coming from different sources claim the flagship smartphone will be announced on August 23, but the phone won’t be available on the market until September at the earliest.

Over the weekend, Samsung’s CEO DJ Koh told Taiwanese media that his company plans to reveal the Galaxy Note 8 in late August, which comes in line with previous reports.

He went on to say that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released …

These dbrand Galaxy Note 8 skins might reveal the design of Samsung's next big thing

A Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is coming soon, and, most likely, it’s going to be announced at the end of August. Rumors have it that the handset will resemble the Galaxy S8 to a considerable degree (dual curve screen and thin bezels included), though its corners should be a bit more square-ish, while its rear might host a dual camera alongside a fingerprint scanner.

Even if we’re more than one month away from the day when Samsung will officially unveil the new Galaxy, dbrand, an American maker of popular custom skins for smartphones, is already accepting pre-orders for Note 8 skins. dbrand …

Photo compares the front panel from the Galaxy S8+ to an alleged panel from the Galaxy Note 8

A self proclaimed Samsung fan posted on Twitter the other day, an image that shows the glass screen from the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Note 8 next to the panel that was used on the Samsung Galaxy S8+. If these are legitimate displays, you can see for yourself the differences between the two handsets. The Galaxy S8+ features more rounded corners while the Galaxy Note 8 has a boxier form factor.

The high-end phablet, now rumored to be unveiled on August 23rd, appears to carry a screen that could be 6.3-inches to 6.5-inches based on the comparison between the two panels. The Galaxy S8+ …

An iPhone 8 supplier reportedly bails, forcing Apple to spend millions on OLED PCB tools

Apple may not be dealing directly with manufacturing its own phones, but it does not shy away from purchasing production equipment for its suppliers if the situation calls for it, no matter how complex or expensive it is. They did it with the unique machines that polished the glass iPhones, then again by fronting display makers, and now, apparently, they are doing it with the tools to make the rigid-flexible printed circuit boards (RFPCB) needed for the upcoming OLED iPhone 8.

Last we heard about that part, Samsung had allegedly placed an order for 70 million FPCBs with two of …

High-end Nokia 8 allegedly coming soon, could cost less than $600

After launching the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6, HMD Global is now (seemingly) getting ready to introduce at least one higher-end Android smartphone. Recently, we heard that a Nokia 8 and a Nokia 9 might be around the corner, and now we’re learning that only one of these models may be released in the near future: the Nokia 8.

According to German website WinFuture (usually a reliable source), the Nokia 8 has the model number TA-1004. Not long ago, it’s been assumed that the TA-1004 would be launched as the Nokia 9, but WinFuture has it that the phone’s final name should be Nokia 8. …

Samsung Galaxy Note 8: price and release date predictions

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is one of the most anticipated devices of the year for sure. On one hand, the Note family is usually considered as the most powerful Sammy devices of the year, filled to the brim with the latest hardware and features. On the other, since the Note 7 was such a spectacular failure, everyone is hoping that the 8 will be awesome enough to rectify the faults and forever remove that burn mark from Sammy’s reputation.

And yeah, we are getting impatient, we want it here, we want it now, and we’d love to know how much it will cost, so that we can …

Latest Samsung Galaxy Note 8 images reportedly show off the front of the phablet

We have seen various leaks showing both the back and the front of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Today, a tech tipster has posted on his Twitter page images that allegedly show the front of the eagerly anticipated phablet. Unlike most of the previous leaks, these images don’t have a case getting in the way. We could see the Galaxy Note 8 unveiled next month, on August 23rd. That is a little earlier than expected as Galaxy S8 sales are beginning to run out of steam, and anticipation is building to a fever pitch for the Galaxy Note 8.

Previous images showing the rear of the Galaxy Note 8 included …

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 spotted in Samsung Exynos 9 teaser?

Strange things happen sometimes. Out of the blue, Samsung Exynos’ Twitter account posted this teaser image marketing the Exynos series 9 mobile application processors. From a distance, the phone you are seeing on it might seem like the Galaxy S8. Maybe it’s the angle, but looking at how the upper bezel is noticeably thinner, and the side bezel is basically non-existent, we can’t help but think that this is the Note 8, hidden in plain sight! The Galaxy s8 doesn’t really look like this, and neither does any other phone, for that matter.

Given that the Note 8 is reportedly …
