Verizon rolls out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Asus ZenPad Z10

The Asus ZenPad Z10 tablet made its debut at Verizon late last year, probably to some success since the carrier was very interested in offering customers who bought it the possibility to update it to a newer version of Android.

Long story short, Verizon is now rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for Asus ZenPad Z10. The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages and can be captured either via Wi-Fi connection or Verizon’s mobile network.

Aside from the usual new features and improvements included in Android 7.0 Nougat such as multi-window mode, improved settings …

Samsung starts rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S5 Neo

The Galaxy S5 Neo is a relatively old smartphone software-wise. The device was launched exactly 2 years ago with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on board but received an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow last year.

Fast forward a bit more than a year and it looks like Samsung has suddenly decided to breathe new life into the old Galaxy S5 Neo by offering users another major OS update, Android 7.0 Nougat.

Although Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S5 Neo is only being pushed out in Canada, there’s no doubt that Samsung will continue the roll-out to other countries in the near future. It’s important …

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) on track to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update

The Galaxy J5 (2016) could be among the next Samsung smartphones to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The South Korean company is trying to update as many of its mid-range handsets as possible, but it might not keep up once it starts working on bringing Android Oreo to its flagships.

In any case, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has been recently listed at Wi-Fi Alliance, but this time with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. Featuring model number SM-J510N, the Galaxy J5 (2016) could get the new update by the end of the year.

The Galaxy J5 (2016) was launched last …

The original Samsung Galaxy A8 expected to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update soon

The first Galaxy A8 made its debut on the market back in 2015. In the meantime, Samsung launched one more Galaxy A8 model last year, but it’s unclear if there will ever be another one launched in 2017.

The original Samsung Galaxy A8 came with Android 5.0 Lollipop on board, but the South Korean company has already released a Marshmallow update last year. Since the smartphone was launched two years ago, it was highly unlikely that the Galaxy A8 would receive further Android OS updates.

However, because the Galaxy A8 running Android 7.0 Nougat has been recently …

The update is reportedly rolling out in Russia as we speak, but it’s quite likely that rollout to other regions is also underway. Thus, if you own a Galaxy A5 (2017), it’s worth heading to Settings -> Software update and manually checking if the update is available for you.

Official: No Android 7.0 Nougat updates for Lenovo's Phab2 series

It looks like Lenovo is done with updates for the Phab2 series, even though some of the smartphones were launched less than a year ago. For some reason, the Chinese company has decided that the Phab2 Pro, the first widely-available Tango-enable smartphone, is not worth the trouble and should remain on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Along with the Phab2 Pro, four other smartphones will not receive any other major Android OS updates: Lenovo Phab, Phab Plus, Phab2, and Phab2 Plus. The first two will remain on Android 5.0 Lollipop, while the other two will not be updated …

Android 7.0 Nougat update rolling out to Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017)

It’s been about a month since we reported the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) might soon get the long-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update. The smartphone was certified at Wi-Alliance back in July, and the listing revealed it runs a new version of the OS.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) was launched in January with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on board, even though Google had released Nougat for several months already.

It looks like Samsung is determined to fix that as Android 7.0 Nougat is now rolling out to Galaxy A7 (2017). SamMobile reports the update is now available in Thailand, but this is just …

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

After months of waiting, the cheapest smartphone in the Galaxy A (2017) series is finally getting Android 7.0 Nougat update. Back in May, Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) was spotted at GFXBench running a new version of Android, but it took the South Korean company more than two months to actually start pushing the update.

If you happen to live in Russia, then you’ll be among the first to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017). Actually, the rollout began on July 26, so many Galaxy A3 (2017) users should have already received the update.

Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) coming soon

Samsung is never clear about Android OS updates unless it involves high-end smartphones and tablets, which are almost always getting major software upgrades for about two years.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) is one of Samsung’s mid-rangers that made its debut on the market more than a year ago. The smartphone is still running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, as Samsung hasn’t said anything about a possible Nougat update.

The good news is Samsung doesn’t have to say anything as long as we can crawl the internet for info. The Galaxy J7 (2017) has been recently listed at Wi-Fi …

If you happen to own the T-Mobile V10, then you’ve been waiting for about two months for the carrier to deploy the Android 7.0 Nougat update. LG was pretty fast on delivering the update, as the South Korean company kicked off the roll-out of Nougat for V10 back in May.

Well, it looks like the wait is over for T-Mobile customers who purchase the LG V10. The Uncarrier confirmed recently that Android 7.0 Nougat is available for download to everyone who owns the V10.
