Xiaomi Mi Note 3 leaked retail box confirms Snapdragon 660 CPU and 6GB RAM inside

The second next big thing coming from Xiaomi, the Mi Note 3 will be unveiled in less than 24 hours alongside the company’s flagship, the Mi MIX 2. Little was known about the upcoming Mi Note series device since aside from a few confusing reports there were no accurate leaks about the Mi Note 3.

Well, one day ahead of the Mi Note 3’s official unveiling, we have clear information about the smartphone’s specs. Despite the fact that Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will probably be limited to China and a few other Asian countries (India?), this looks like a very solid choice for those looking for an affordable …

Asus Zenfone 4 Pro benchmark confirms Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB RAM

At least four new Asus smartphones will be announced on August 17, all part of the ZenFone series: ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Selfie, ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro and ZenFone 4 Max.

But there’s a fifth smartphone that Asus may unveil along with the other four, the ZenFone 4 Pro, which may actually be the company’s flagship for the rest of the year.

Unlike the standard ZenFone 4, the Pro version comes with a much better SoC (system-on-chip) and more RAM inside. Luckily, the phone appeared recently on GFXBench, your go to benchmarking portal, so we’ve been able to learn a couple of things about its …

International Moto Z2 Force with 6GB RAM reportedly carries a 3.5mm headphone jack

Yesterday, Motorola and the four major U.S. carriers unveiled the Motorola Moto Z2 Force. While there are some new features like the dual camera setup in back, the pill shaped fingerprint sensor (as opposed to the square shaped button on last year’s model), the Snapdragon 835 chipset inside, and the 64GB of native storage, one of the things that remains the same is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For those who love the Moto Z2 Force but feel that the lack of the 3.5mm jack is a deal breaker, there is an interesting (but aggravating) rumor that was posted yesterday on Twitter. Citing …

Samsung's high-end Android flip phone may sport SD-835 and 6GB of RAM

Samsung’s W-series phones are high-end handsets with a flip form factor. The melding of the old and new works out just fine for those who miss their old device, but want to have the most up to date software and specs. The SM-W2018 is expected to be the latest W-series handset coming from Samsung. Back in May, the phone was certified by China’s regulatory TENAA agency. At the time, the handset was powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset and carried 4GB of RAM inside. Earlier this month, the manual for the phone leaked revealing that wireless charging will be a feature on the phone.

Today, a …

Honor 9 Premium with 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM coming to Europe for €455

The Honor 9 is a premium device by itself, so the fact that the Chinese company launched an enhanced version of the flagship and called it Premium is rather weird. The better-featured variant has no less than 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage inside.

Since versions with more RAM are usually introduced in China exclusively, it’s quite a surprise to find out that Honor will be making the 6GB RAM variant available in other regions as well.

As per Winfuture’s report, the so-called Honor 9 Premium has been officially introduced in Italy where the smartphone …

Only 9 countries will receive the HTC U11 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage

HTC has produced two different versions of its new flagship phone. The HTC U11 found in the U.S. at Sprint, or unlocked from HTC, features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. But another unlocked version of the U11 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. While the latter model isn’t coming to the U.S., you can still have it imported to the states (more on that below).

So just exactly where can you find this enhanced version of the HTC U11? A tweet sent out by ROM developer @LlabTooFeR lists the nine countries where the higher spec’d variant of the phone can be found. They include …

Hong Kong version of Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM will be compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile networks

You might be ecstatic over your new Samsung Galaxy S8+. But if you live in the U.S., you brain might be nudging you about the version of the phone that features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Yes, that is a 50% hike from the 4GB of RAM on your Galaxy S8+, not to mention the doubling of native storage. Your brain keeps repeating over and over how nice it would be to have that extra multi-tasking capability and all of that extra storage. Despite the heavy demand seen for the higher spec’d model, Samsung doesn’t plan on selling it in the states at this time.

But there is some promising …

The Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM is now a unicorn, even for early adopters

As you may know from previous publications of ours, a beastly Galaxy S8+ model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage exists, but is exclusive to South Korea and, later on, the Chinese market. During the preorder period in Korea, it went out of stock for five days, despite the hefty price, equivalent to about $1020. The initial batch of 150,000 units apparently wasn’t enough to meet demand for the souped-up version, and now additional reporting says that even that set is facing early supply bottlenecks.

As if to provide a tangible proof, those who …

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is now official. Introduced by Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun this morning, the eagerly awaited handset features a 5.15-inch display carrying a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. A 3350mAh battery is charged with keeping the lights on. Because the Snapdragon 835 SoC is 25% more efficient than the Snapdragon 820, the Mi 6 should provide users with outstanding battery life.

The dual rear camera setup in back …

Xiaomi Mi 6 to carry dual-camera set-up on back and feature 6GB of RAM?

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is about to be unveiled this coming Wednesday, and all of the signs point toward the device coming to market with 6GB of RAM instead of 4GB of the sweet stuff. For example, on the recent Geekbench test we told you about last week, the Xiaomi Mi 6 was indeed equipped with 6GB of RAM. In addition, a recent video teaser from Xiaomi has confirmed the upgrades for the phone.

The Mi 6 will offer three upgrades from the company’s previous flagship model, the Xiaomi Mi 5. One is the replacement of a single camera system on the back of the phone with a dual-camera setup. The …
