Cricket Wireless chirps now to promote new offers that start this Sunday, November 5th

Pre-paid carrier Cricket Wireless, owned by AT&T, announced today some upcoming promotions that start this Sunday, November 5th. Starting on that date, Cricket’s $30 a month plan will come with 2GB of high speed data, twice the current amount. The $40/month plan will come with 25% more high speed data (5GB up from 4GB). In addition, Cricket Wireless is bringing back its Unlimited 2 plan.

The nation’s fourth largest carrier, Sprint, fired a salvo across the bow of the SS T-Mobile today. The wireless operator announced that Sprint Unlimited Freedom subscribers can get a fifth line for free. The plan offers unlimited talk, text and unlimited data. Before taxes and fees, five lines will cost $120. This pricing requires that the subscriber sign up for AutoPay, which results in $5 of savings each month. This discount will be applied within the receipt of two invoices.

The Apple glass cube on 5th Avenue is going away for the second time

The glass cube covering the entrance to Apple’s 5th Avenue store in Manhattan never struck us as anything special – it’s just a bunch of glass, really – but it’s unquestionably a landmark. And now, that landmark is going away for the second time.

Beats 1 to broadcast live from renovated 5th Avenue Apple Store?

According to a report published today, Apple is thinking about adding broadcasting facilities to the 5th Avenue Apple Store that is being renovated in New York City. The plan is to have Beats 1 radio broadcast some of its programming from the retail location. Currently, one of the DJ’s heard on Beats 1, Ebro Darden, is believed to be broadcasting from a location on West 27th Street in the Big Apple.
