Mozilla launches Firefox 59 on Android, here's what's new

Two months after the release of Firefox 58 on Android devices, Mozilla is pushing out yet another major version of the mobile browser. The new iteration brings a couple of new features, as well as bug fixes and improvements.

The most important seems to be the ability to use Firefox for Android as an Assist App, which will allow users to start a search by long-pressing the home button. iOS 11 installation rate reaches 59 percent, adoption lagging behind older versions

iOS 11, the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, is now installed on 59% of iOS devices. The latest information comes from statistics that were shared on Apple’s App Store support page for developers. 
This number is rather impressive, especially when compared to the adoption rate of Android Oreo (0.3% distribution as of November 9th). Hybrid MVNO FreedomPop is moving into 1,100 Target stores nationwide. SIM cards cost $5 and Android phones are as low as $59. FreedomPop offers a free service that includes 500MB of data, 200 voice minutes and 500 texts per month. Customers are connected to Wi-Fi hotspots until they are out of range. Chrome 59 for Android promises to load pages faster and use less memory

The newest version of Google’s main browser, Chrome had been recently released for Mac, Windows, and Linux, but Android users have been skipped from the initial roll-out.
