How Elon Musk is fixing Tesla Model 3 production problems: More humans

After Tesla failed to hit its goal of producing 2,500 Model 3 electric cars a week, CEO Elon Musk says he’s figured out what went wrong: robots.

Yes, robots, which are designed to help build lots and lots of Tesla’s electric vehicle at an insane speed, are to blame for why customers who pre-ordered the Model 3 still haven’t gotten them yet.

In an interview with CBS Good Morning, Musk said the Model 3 is in “production hell” because Tesla used too many robots.

“It’s worse than I thought,” Musk said. “We have this crazy complex network of conveyor belts and it was not working so we got rid of that whole thing.” Read more…

Xiaomi Mi Band 3 inadvertently revealed by CEO

Xiaomi’s CEO has been spotted wearing what appears to be the Mi Band 3. The Chinese company only recently announced its newest gaming smartphone, dubbed the Black Shark, at an event in China. Here, the company’s founder Lei Jun was spotted checking the new smartphone out, but it appears he had a little extra hidden up his sleeve, literally.

As can be seen in the photos, the CEO’s wrists reveal what appears to be an entirely new wearable, similar in form factor to previous Xiaomi Mi Band devices. The device, which is rumored to be the upcoming Mi Band 3, retains the comfortable rubber band …

Android 8.0 Oreo for Nokia 3 starts rolling out today

Finnish company HMD Global is determined to offer consumers the possibility to get the most out of their Nokia phones for a long time. It’s quite unusual for handset makers to offer major Android updates for mid-range and entry-level, let alone for ALL their products in this price range.

Well, HMD is doing it, probably because it doesn’t have so many smartphones available on the market like other brands like Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony, etc. The last addition to the list of smartphone updated to Android Oreo is the Nokia 3.

Back in February, HMD debuted an Android Oreo beta program …

Pixel 3 name leaked by Google

Guess what? The next version of Google’s high end handset line is going to be named (better sit down for this) the Google Pixel 3. Okay, that is obviously not shocking and we’re sure that in the U.K., where you can bet on almost anything, the Pixel 3 is the heavy favorite to be the name of the sequel to the Pixel 2, which in turn was the sequel to the OG Pixel. And we’d also bet that the Pixel 3 will be accompanied by the larger, premium Pixel 3 XL.

Actually, the leak that gives away the Pixel 3 name comes from Google itself. Found in a commit on its Android Open Source Project website titled …

True to its promise, the company delivered the update to the ZenFone 3 Deluxe last week, but the other two handsets remain on Android Nougat.

In an update post on Twitter, Asus confirmed the update for both smartphones has been delayed due to some issues that require more time to be fixed.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo, here are all the changes

Asus confirmed last week that three ZenFone 3 smartphones will receive Android 8.0 Oreo updates in March, but it didn’t mention any exact release dates. If you’re using an Asus ZenFone 3 Laser, ZenFone 3 Zoom or ZenFone 3 Deluxe, you should expect to get the Oreo update at some point this week.

In fact, Asus has just announced that the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the first of the three to receive the previously teased update. Keep in mind that the update arrives for the ZS550KL model, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe variant that sports a 5.5-inch display, not the ZS570KL model that includes a slightly larger …

Although no exact release date has been given, Asus Malaysia said the following smartphones will be updated by the end of March: ZenFone 3 Laser, ZenFone 3 Zoom, and ZenFone 3 Deluxe.

These are not the first ZenFone 3 models that will soon receive Android Oreo updates, as Asus has already rolled out Oreo for the regular ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Max. Also, the ZenFone 4 Pro got updates only a few weeks ago.

These selfie-taking penguins bring us closer to Happy Feet 3

You know the world is closer to the Rupture when emperor penguins start posing for the camera and taking selfies, right?
Well, these two officials from the Happy Feet casting crew might just make your Friday by the Snapchat-level shenanigans they author upon discovery of a working camera left by Antarctic explorer Eddie Gault in the rookery.

Giggling like Alexa, and stepping around clumsily in their tuxedos, as penguins are prone to do, the aquatic, fat-clad birds, seem bent on the ultimate self-amusement, and …
