Google says fix is coming for slow to wake Pixel 2 XL and offers a workaround

You might remember than exactly a week ago, several Google Pixel 2 XL owners complained that after installing the June OTA Android security update, their devices would take two to three seconds longer to wake. At the time, a Google employee on the company’s Issue Tracker started sniffing around, which was a hopeful sign for those with sleepy Pixel 2 XL units.
Sure enough, this morning Google posted a statement on a Reddit page that focuses on the aftermath of the June update on the Pixel 2 XL. It says that Google is aware of the issue and has already “identified …

T-Mobile has quietly added a new mid-range Android smartphone to its portfolio, the LG Aristo 2 Plus. As the name suggests, the handset is an improved version of the LG Aristo 2, which made it to the United States back in January.

If you’ve been following the tech news, then you probably remember that we reported about the LG Aristo 2 Plus three months ago, so the phone’s launch at T-Mobile is not quite a surprise. We’re only surprised that it took the carrier so long to introduce it.

Apparently, the LG Aristo 2 Plus will be available from T-Mobile starting June 15 for a price that …

TwitterFacebook

Summer is right around the corner, which also means it’s prime drone-flying season (in case you didn’t know). Totally acceptable “toys” for adults to own, drones are great for playing pilot, taking incredible photos, and, in some cases, racing with your friends and family.

Parrot is known for making excellent drones with quality cameras, and for the next few days, you can get one for more than 70% off. Yes, you read that correctly.

Its Jumping Race Mini Drone may not zip through the air like other models on the market, but consider it a modern-day race car (that’s totally acceptable for adults to play with). Small, but mighty, it can reach up to 8 mph — indoors and out. Then, just tap a button and watch it fly 2.4 feet in the air.  Read more…

OnePlus 6 vs Galaxy S9+ vs Pixel 2 XL: low-light camera comparison

If it wasn’t clear by now, we’ve long welcomed OnePlus into the premiere league. One of the last remaining bases to cover for OnePlus has been the camera. Not that it’s been bad all this time, but let’s just say it wasn’t quite on the same level as the shooters found on the latest iPhone or Galaxy S.
